Project Manager or Senior Project Manager - Transportation (Public Works)
Project Manager preferred hiring range: $70,268.38 to $87,835.37 Annually.
One-time hiring bonus: $2,500
Senior Project Manager preferred hiring range: $85,000.00 - $106,000.00 Annually.
One-time hiring bonus: $5,000 ($2,500 to be paid out within the first two-weeks of employment and the remainder to be paid out after 6-months of employment).

The Project Manager position in the Public Works Department will manage projects of substantial cost, scope, and complexity for the City’s capital projects focusing on transportation and accessibility projects. Primarily and most frequently the Project Manager performs work independently while maintaining a high level of customer service to all project stakeholders. Primary responsibilities include management of all phases of the project life-cycle process, from conception/initiation through closing, in order to deliver a specified product, service, system or result within the constraints of the project scope, resources, time and budget. Primarily and most frequently the work done here is performed independently under the general supervision of a division manager.
Transportation projects focus on management and administration of assigned road/multi-modal projects; as well as assisting in the oversight of the urban construction program and other related infrastructure projects.
Accessibility projects focus on sidewalk and accessibility items identified in the CIP; as well as coordinates with and assists the City's ADA and Transportation Planners in the oversight of the ADA Transition Plan and related improvement projects.
The Senior Project Manager - Transportation in the Public Works Department: Oversees the success of projects of substantial cost, scope, and complexity to include, but not limited to: complex skilled and technical work in support of Feasibility, Programming, Design, Construction & Close-Out phases as they relate to the engineering, planning and construction of City-wide transportation projects federal, state and local funded transportation projects that involve multi-modal elements like bike facilities, new pedestrian access and safety features as well as vehicular capacity improvements). Position works with VDOT’s LAP (Locally Administered Projects) program, manages VDOT’s SMART Scale/HSIP projects as well City funded transportation projects, and may manage consultant project managers which oversee the design consultants and contractors. This position advises management on cost-planning, scheduling, control and productivity analysis, provides financial management oversight, reports on business results, and project impacts on equity. Advises management on work distribution and project rescheduling issues; facilitates internal processes and scoping meetings. Guides the work of a team of Project Managers. Primarily and most frequently the work done here is performed independently under the general direction of a Division Manager or Department Head.

Project Coordinator
This position is a full-time position of Project Coordinator at Quality Right of Way Services LLC, DBA HL Consulting. This position requires you to be located in the Virginia area. This job is an office job with expectations of a 40-hour work week in an office location in Fairfax County. The salary is $80.00 hour, no health benefits.

Responsibilities
Provide Project Coordination for right-of-way working with an interdisciplinary team.
In conjunction with others, perform activities to support real property government projects such as property assessments, risk analysis, acquisition of needed rights, occupant relocation and property management support.
Knowledge or experience in real estate, appraisal, law, public administration or project management.
Perform other duties as needed.
Desired real estate license in good standing, or equivalent, as required by law
A minimum of 10 years of experience in real estate, right-of-way, title, utility coordination, relocation, or property management
VDOT Right of Way or related field highly desirable
Ability to work independently, communicate and document effectively, handle large volumes of work, and coordinate closely with management.
Ability to understand and work in compliance with the federal, state and industry laws, and FHWA, FTA, and Uniform Relocation Act regulations.
Ability to work confidently with clients, property owners and occupants.
Ability to effectively balance office and field work in a collaborative and deadline-sensitive manner.
Proficiency with standard technology tools such as Microsoft Office
Position requires strong communication skills, basic understanding of negotiation and presentation skills, and ability to work flexible hours and effectively with people of all types
